Do people really just have a really shitty graphics card or are graphics for gw2 is not what it looks like from advertised?

I’m liking Tera screenshots better while browsing through tags..

Could be a number of factors.  Older machines as well as the type of screenshot they’re taking (there’s a hi-res option). They also could be leaving the settings at default, which is middle of the road between performance and appearance.

My machine is a few years old and what I’d consider middle of the pack (you could probably build my PC right now for about 500US), but the game looks stunning.  I can’t run full on max settings, but one tick lower on the slider.

I’ve taken around 100 or so screens and I’m going to post quite a few here, so check back next week.  It may not tickle your fancy, but I honestly feel like I’ve captured some of the more beautiful parts of the game.
